It has been 10 years and still NO new permits are being issued.
The State of Florida is STILL screwing people who are looking to make a living from salvaging items from the ocean bottom.What is needed is for the Electronic Industry which make the Metal Detectors, Underwater cameras, Side Scan Sonar, Magnetometers, and anything else used in Treasure Hunting and recovery work.
Without the Professional Diver these companies would not exist.
How much do you think is spent every year on this Electronic equipment. I would say MILLIONS and MILLIONS which the Hobby Diver cannot afford.
It has reached a point that the HOBBY DIVER is not allowed to pick up a single object from the ocean bottom no matter what it may be because they CAN be put into JAIL and have everything they own taken away.
Without the clout of the Manufactures you will not get a thing done with or with out IMAC or anyother group.
