Reaching into the hole to remove loose sand, I felt the shape of this 12 pounder today and said "Roundness". Has anyone else caught themselves using some of the terminology from DIGGERS or other MDing shows? I said it without thinking. I guess that's how new expressions and colloquialisms get started. roundness.jpg

Guilty of all the terminology they use. Mostly as a joke buy its been sticking. Especially "silv" and "roundness"

If you take that funny terminology out of the program most of us would fall asleep watching it, it's good for a laugh
no doubt about that, and if you can't laugh about it , you got a sad life

thumbs up on the cannonball, it's a prize

Its a tv program, they are told what to say and how to react.....for ratings purposes. I know I would do the same if I had the opportunity to dig where they get too. And I am sure alot of you would also.. my opinion. HH

I remember once, I had just dug a hole and down there staring up at me was the top of an old beer can.

I said, to myself, "Well, whaddya know. Roundness." :dontknow:

Another thing that bothers me is when I'm out hunting a field and a car rolls down their window to honk the horn and yell "Boom baby!"

Look guys, if you see me out there hunting, PLEASE! Don't honk your horn at me. I will NOT acknowledge it and you'll just be posing a threat to yourself and other drivers.

I like the show and if I want to say roundness Ill say it...people can say what they want but they are not going to tell me what to say...oh, they can tell me but Im going to say what I want...nice find...congrats.

that's awesome civ nectar pay me 150,000 a season to dig holes and I will say roundness nectar or any other dumb stuff :tongue3:

Excellent find. I have never seen those shows. Actually, what shows?

Sometimes we will twist the words to be funny, like "squareness in the hole".

I don't use their words unless I am being a prick to annoy my hunting buddy who hates those shows. I have on a few occasions done a happy dance though when no one is around and I have found something so valueable to me that I can't resist. The Musket Percussion Hammer I found on Saturday...I was in the woods no one was looking and I will admit I did a short happy dance. I kept quiet though. I did not hang off a tree upside like a bafoon , didn't do cartwheels and flips, and did not scream. Just kind of a jumping up and down with a joker grin on my face and an inside voice looking up at the sky saying "thank you!" :)

Been right there with ya brother!

Having fun is what its all about.

Sweet nectar sector. Congrats

HAHAHAHAHA Too funny! Don't take life too seriously folks. Have a little fun in life. This is a hobby for 99.9% of us that have real jobs. If someone wants to say Roundness, Civ or "nectar sector", who gives a rats hind hole.

Can we see the "roundness" out of the hole?
I'm waiting on a new power supply to arrive in the mail, probably tomorrow. Once I have Electrolyzed the ball, I'll be happy to add a picture of the finished piece.

I cant say I've never let out a Bill Ladd Yeeeaahhhhh! with a good find lol Have fun with it.

Congratulations on the cannon ball find! It truly is 'round'. As for that show...I've never watched it and probably never will.
