The last 2 weeks here on Florida's East Coast have been very cold & windy. Many people living on their sailboats were caught off guard or weren't anchored properly. These boats are all on the Eau Gallie causeway. There are more on the next causeway south.

Man that sucks. The extent of my knowledge of marine recovery is that in that one Disney cartoon they filled a sunken boat with ping pong balls and raised it to the surface. Might not have been Disney. Sorry, only thing that came to mind.

These people live on their boats rent free & have little money. Every winter the causeways in Florida are home to people that are escaping the cold up north. They anchor off of them and dingy to shore for trips to the grocery stores. They are just trying to live & I feel bad when a storm destroys the only home that they have.

I guess the only way is with the air bags. My cousin used to raise sunk boats out of marinas. That is sad for sure. It is their home....
