We returned to the second Roman site we discovered this year. Although very dry the conditions had improved as it was drilled & rolled. We gridded for 6 hours back over the better area & expanded out in 2 directions. Shame the spread of coins was smaller than expected but we had a good enough result:

14 Roman Bronze Coins
Hunts Button with Game Bird
Medieval Leather Mount
Frag of a Roman Bracelet
Part of a Roman Locking Mechanism (our largest example, we find 1 or 2 on most sites)
Debased Roman Silver of Sev Alexander AD2268-)

CRUSADER I WILL HAVE TO COME BACK AND POST MY REPLY . DONE RUN OUT OF THINGS TO SAY .... NICE FINDS .......

Awesome stuff as usual Crusader. Some of the stuff you've found is just mind boggling. Keep up the good work.

Not a bad day! Bronze, silver, debased or not, it still count as Denarius! :icon_thumleft: Like the bracelet. Too bad they're always broken in plowed land...

Thanks for all the comments, that maybe our last chance at a good Roman Site this year.
