Return to Surprise Field & Carpark Field...UPDATED

Shaun7 & I spent several hours finishing a small corner on the Carpark Field, where I got a Hammered, 1818 Sixpence, Celtic Ring (2000 years old)
Then we noticed they had cut the 3 ft weeds in an area we couldn't cover, so went over & did it. This is where I had the stunning large 17th Century Buckle.
Last hour or so was in the Surprise Field where I finished on a Scrappy & Roman Brooch.

Hammered of Charles I Halfpenny, rose on both sides

Rained the whole time, just as I like it

At least I will have had some finds in June

I only have 1 other & its clipped & not as nice as this one. Wasn't expecting much from this last little corner of the field.

No great in value, I know it doesn't matter anyway to you....but you rarely see them found, proberbly because of the size.

No great in value, I know it doesn't matter anyway to you....but you rarely see them found, proberbly because of the size.

Yeap, thankfully it was only 2" deep or I may not have found it.

Its an old break, so might be the reason it was chucked, or the plough did it many,many years ago. It is a shame but I still love it, as its my only example.

It was a very pleasing hunt for June

Never had anything with Jewels in, that I can recall. It would be an unusual find for the areas I do, more likely on a beach. (bear in mind, any jewels are likely to be knocked out by the plough).
