I had the same problem with the spray bars plugging up. I solved it by making a box with an open top out of 1/4" hardware cloth and then covering that with window screen. Put the 1250 GPH pump for the bars in it and the screen keeps the floaties out of the pump. If it's small enough to get through the screening it blows right through the openings in the spray bars.
