Ok, temperature is dropping 50 degrees today, 66 at lunch will be 16 later tonight... 6-8" snow, aargh...

Got out yesterday to scout out a new lunch site, just shotgun shell ends then something big and shiny under the leaves.

Since I was getting skunked I decided to cut the roots away and see if this was anything cool or just a trashed hubcap. Here it is cleaned up.

It's in amazing shape actually.

Oh, here is the small roundness my 9 yr old daughter gave me.

No photoshopping trickery here. A truly tiny clad quarter...

Super cool obsolete automobile brand hubcap. You cleaned it up nice too. There is probably a catalog somewhere on the www. that would identify the year that style was used. Nice find !

I bet that Nash hub cap will be worth a small fortune to a Nash owner, especially the owner of a three hub cap Nash

That is a really nice hub cap. I found one like it when I was 10 cleaning up the river for boy scouts.
Mine was trash but sitting in a river for 60+ years will do that I guess.

Way to go!

Love the hubcap!!! Would look great in my "Man Den". Great find!!! Pouring rain here right now in Downeast Maine. Got your warm front. Like you, it's gonna dip way down. Not showing snow though, at least for here in Maine. Soonest I can get out though is tomorrow. Hopefully the ground won't be rock. What are you doing reading this!!! Get out and dig while you can!!!

Treasure is in the eye of the beholder. I behold a wonderful shiny old historic piece of chrome goodness you got there. A sweet domed Nash hubcap
In that condition would draw attention to anyone's display of treasure. Cute little quarter too buddy. Just nice to get out.

Is that a Nash hubcap or a Hash hubcap? I love that present you got from your little one, congrats!

I'd love to see a pic of it out in natural light

Wonder if Mike Wolfe needs one? Ha! What a treasure,I like it.

Very nice find on the Nash cap- probably 1950-55 style. Cool gift your daughter as well.

Thx Kevin! I don't typically bring home large items, I guess this one is as close to iron as I will get, just kidding...

Thx! I am really surprised that it is not all dinged up from deers trampling over it for years, must not have been on one of their paths.

Beautiful Hub cap! :occasion14:

Awesome Nash hubcap. About 1955 my Dad had a Nash station wagon with a grafted egg trailer on the back.
