Findings from to field sites and from civil war battleline. Rare Finnish civil war badge probably dropped by White guardist and it is silver. Also this years first russian eagle. It is artillery button with eagles. Artica found this blue ink bottle and donated it to my collection. Sadly it is broken :-\. Also some kind of weight with number 3, crowns and year stamp 1886. These fields had lots of stuff, spoon parts, bale seals, copper coins etc.

terrific badge! what do the fractions on it signify?

Today I saw similar badge in local museum. It is memorial badge of the red prisoners. TSW means "Tampereen sotilas wankila" in Finnish and in English "The military prison of Tampere". This prison was more like concentration camp for Red guard pows after the Battle of Tampere. Im guessing they made these memorial badges after released. Conditions were very harsh in this camp. 1400 prisoners died here in starvation, diseases and were executed. It is very rare badge and worth about 100 euros in Finnish market. My best find this spring anyway Some photos from there: 11 000 prisoners in local market place from where they went to the Pow Camp and Red prisoners going to be exexuted with some white soldiers guarding them .

thank you for the info, Aquila. your badge is a beautiful relic from a grim time.

Those are some great finds ! That silver badge on the top of the pile of goodies from that field !! Thanks for posting MaineRelic
