People of Italian descent know how to enjoy, life, food and their vino....lol.

I have some Italian connections courtesy of family marriages. I remember when one of my nephews got married it was a 5 course meal with wine flowing freely. Then the open bar and Modesto the father in law standing at the bar peeling off bills to cover off on the after dinner drinks.

Around midnight they rolled out another round of cheese, fruit, pizza, etc....I thought I would burst.

Now my nephews son is getting married this coming June and I'm sure a similar feast is in store.

In any event if you haven't tried it well worth having some farinata it's made from chickpea/garbanzo bean flour and comes from the Genoa area of Italy.


mmmm looks good and yes i'm all too familiar with the endless meals being served. Seems almost every Italian family also has several Aunts with all the same name - aunt Rose, aunt Camille, and aunt Josephine. Then there are the giant bowl of plastic grapes that decorated the center of every Italian kitchen table.
 

Yup it's still winter.
