Refrigerator road !!!

One more after-Irma photo. This shows what might be a valuable lesson. If you live in a hurricane-impact zone, it's good to have a truly sturdy metal (not mere thin sheetmetal) roof like these, because they hold up much better. The buildings under these collapsed, but the metal roof survived intact. Photo taken on the Caribbean island of St. Martin / Sint Maarten (one of my favorite places to visit).

Its going to be a while till all of the Islands and Florida look nice again. I smell serious travel discounts in the near future! Anyone want to Groupon to St Maarten for a beach comb?

Oh you guys might find this interesting... I did.
And... I missed out.
When the storm approached...
The water was sucked out for hours...
What was once was covered by 6 foot of water... was bare.
Hundreds of people walked out under bridges and on beaches retrieving all kinds of neat treasures.
Would have been PRIME detecting ...at its very best.
And I was clambering to get outta dodge.

A lady was killed a couple of months ago. Seems it is kind of a sport to get blown down by the jet wash. She stood there and got tossed @$$ over teakettle into a rock and DIED. Dummies

I got my fill of jet wash being ground crew on a B-47 , a six engine jet. One funny part of the experience was airplanes are moved to face into the wind. There was a prop plane, KC-97, on the N end of the flight line and our bombers were on the South. So in the summer when the bombers lit off their 6 jets they would blow hot exhaust North towards the prop planes and engulf the prop ground crews in jet exhaust. But in winter the prop planes would get even and blow really cold Nebraska winter air South towards us. Getting even I guess.
I love the smell of jet exhaust in the morning...It smells like work!

Not good they were close to a point blank hit. Havnt herd much from anyone down that far. On the positive side I havnt herd anything bad in particular about ram rod. Do you have someone you need to check on ? I'll see if any one knows how things are on ram rod. It had to be close to or in the eye.
