Yeah I've seen those Alaskan chainsaw mills before. We don't have any high end woods growing here in the Rocky Mountain states that I know of. I've seen projects made of the cedars around here that look pretty cool.

There are better hard wood trees here, just not the right species. For instance there are at least 49 varieties of oak in the USA but in the Rockies we get scrub oak. Not worth burning. Fur is an exception especially on the West coast. High altitude stuff.
I knew a guy in Illinois that had a buddy that was a lumberjack in Montana. During a visit he found an oak log on the property form a fall. It was over 4 feet in diameter and about 6-7 feet long. He said it was valuable enough to rent a trailer and transport it home.
If making a guitar I think I could find some spruce here for the body. I've heard some good spruce bodies play. Interesting that a good guitar can be made by someone that doesn't play. I imagine they can tune it though.

The picture looks a tad fuzzy but the chopper looks like it's powered by a Chevy motor. Can't tell if small or big block.

If it's in a car, it's called an engine. If in a bike, it's called a motor. Reason being, you never heard of an engine cycle. Que'No?!

Most likely a 350 small block, good point on the engine cycle! Haha
