Look closely at this picture. Notice anything. Can you see the wad of barbed wire hidden in the grass. Over in south eastern Oregon and north eastern Nevada, the cowboys working those ranches call themselves "buckaroos." And in the lingo of the folks living there, what you are seeing a picture of is called a "buckaroo trap." Because it's hard to see, if you aren't paying attention, you can ride right into one of those, and a wreck follows, that usually doesn't have a pleasant outcome. Personal experience, the horse got into the wire, it panicked, I bucked off, got tangled in the wire and drug by the wire for about 100 yards, until the horse got untangled. Besides broken ribs, there were a lot of other very sore spots on my body, and the poor horse was cut up very badly with deep cuts.
