You refering to the video?
I recall reading up on the video - it took a few dives to actually film him reaching the bottom, and it was a ledge, probably lit by the daylight in the sinkhole's opening.
Landing on a sandy ledge - but the hand-over-handing his way up the walls, floors me! Just a little over seven minutes to hold breath...! Wow!
