Any shipwreck in the great lakes is protected in Michigan. You can't take anything off them or from around them. Luckily the st. Clair river and Lake St. Clair are not included in the equation. However, we won't be finding any Spanish galleons up here unfortunately. Probably the happiest picture of me is finding an anchor for a couple and really made their day.
There is a old wood boat down there that is upside down and mostly flattened. I guessed 30 - 40 foot long. The propeller is sticking out of the bottom. I hope to get it off this year. This is in the Detroit river. Not in a spot illegal to dive. A lot of the river is illegal to dive. It is considered an active crime scene because of all the guns and weapons dropped in.
