WD,

Thanks for the efforts, given the rusted condition though, I'm wondering if they're not a souvenir item from the earlier film Midway in 1976?

Bill, I may have found them. They are listed as rare Promo Movie Prop Dog Tags Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Jon Voight. Listed for $59.99 plus shipping.

Nice find!

Refresh my memory with an example please.

LOL! Chris, I am messing with your wording! I said, "everyone likes teasing me." And your reply was, "I don't." Which would indicate you don't like it. You are always encouraging and teaching. Oh, and a sweetheart of a guy.

OK clarification so noted.

This sad little fellow you see above is a victim of cruel circumstance. He started life as a happy normal creature but fate placed him in the one place where his sensitive nature would be tested beyond his limits to endure.

For generations his family had thrived on farm land within the boundaries of Ohio. But dreams of happiness were soon dashed for this little fellow.
You see, this little bird suffers from Photogophobia. How could tbis happen, you may well ask?
From a child this poor creature was relentlessly pursued by a maniacal photographer *cough* WD *cough* who pointed a lens at him the moment he took wing from his tiny nest. Thereafter, the creature had his every waking moment haunted by his stalker. He could find no place which affrorded safety from these intrusions upon his privacy. He could hardly eat or drink for looking over his shoulder, and his feathers became quite bedraggled. Although he did find a little peace in a squirrel nest after the sun went down, even this was lost to him eventually. One evening an owl informed him that photos of his miserable existence had been posted online, along with mocking memes.
The little bird sadly bid his family farewell, and moved to a dilapidated finch house on the edge of the farm.
However, his nerves were so frayed by his experience he could not bring himself to leave his drab shelter, as rotted as it was by weather and neglect. Besides, it was not a nice neighborhood. Gangs of blue jays hung about the area, as well as hawks and magpies. The little bird might have perished had not some kind wrens brought him food as well as water in acorn shells.
However, the creature was limited to looking wistfully out the entrance and watching other birds fly about the woods and undergrowth.
Once I learned of this tragic affair I was resolved to help by reaching out to kind-hearted strangers.
First, the bird needs to be removed to a more friendly environment where he can begin to get his life back through therapy and counselling. Missouri has many suitable birdhouses available with easily accessible services for traumatized birds.
Next, everyone can contact their representative and press for a No Photo List, which birds and wildlife can utilize.
I am accepting cash donations to help the bird move as well as begin therapy. Also to fund a political action committee to make a nation wide push for the No Photos List.
Please help put a smile on this little bird's face.

WD,

Actually I checked the release date of the movie and it was 2001 so being iron and in the earth it could get pretty rusted since that time.

Would the quality of the metal play any part in that? I mean, they don't make things the way they used to.

HBP, is that what you worked on during your absence? LOL!

I found that pic last week and saved it because I had this "seed" was planted in my brain. Bird seed lol.
But I just started writing this afternoon instead of doing something useful.
And I am shocked at how cavalier you are toward that forlorn bird. You are a lost cause lol

WD,

Yep odds are it's just plated steel since mine is magnetic....the plating would get eaten away pretty quick when in the earth and then the rust pops up.
