good morning i went to my grandmothers house yesterday to see if she was alright and she asked me if i could detect around my great grandmother's house to see if i couldn't find any thing that was hers i found a heart necklace piece on it.It says My heart belongs to daddy i almost broke down crying when i found because she popped into my head when i found it will post pics later

Awwwww! My heart just melted. That's precious that you found that. I hope you are able to find more keepsakes.

I have found that this custom (or whatever you call it) of ours helps you get through the shock stage of it all. No matter if it expected or sudden, there's still a shock phase. At our church, we post on the back of the bulletins, people and situations to pray for. The first time our family was posted for losing a family member (it was not a close one), it was on there for a really long time. I asked about it. I was told they usually keep it posted for two years because it typically takes that long to get through the mourning process. When my mother-in-law passed, we understood that logic.
 

Gold boy, do you have a favorite hymn? If you do, keep singing it to yourself. There's a lot of peace and comfort to be found in music.
