Well things get weirder and weirder.

For the longest time, I could not find Isaias Trautman, my 3x great uncle, anywhere though it was said that he served during the Civil War. Somebody found him for me. His real name is Israel Trautman. He served in the 167th Pennsylvania infantry in Company F.

But that's not the weird part. His father joined too! Jacob Trautman was born in 1792, and he was 70 when he enlisted! He died in the year 1900. What a tough ol' bird! Maybe there were more like him in my family. I never checked.

Daaaang I hope Im that tough when Im 70

Mike, That's the Railway where I spent 35 years doing marketing....brings back lots of memories luckily most of them good.

"Ramona tried to tell me to stay way from the train lines
She said that all those railroad men drink up your blood like wine
I said I didn't know that, but then again there's only one I met
and he just smoked my eyelids, and punched my cigarette"
-Bob Dylan "Stuck Inside of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again"

folks,

This is probably the next recipe for preserves I'll be doing. We got lots of both green and yellow beans so will be fermenting some probably Thursday.

Nice Cannons - Interesting place to visit The Army Museum!

A cousin played guitar and sang this at Dad's service.

Will the Circle Be Unbroken
Johnny Cash

I was standing by my window,
On one cold and cloudy day
When I saw that hearse come rolling
For to carry my mother away
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the sky, lord, in the sky
I said to that undertaker
Undertaker please drive slow
For this lady you are carrying
Lord, I hate to see here go
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the sky, lord, in the sky
Oh, I followed close behind her
Tried to hold up and be brave
But I could not hide my sorrow
When they laid her in the grave
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the sky, lord, in the sky
I went back home, my home was lonesome
Missed my mother, she was gone
All of my brothers, sisters crying
What a home so sad and lone
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the sky, lord, in the sky
We sang the songs of childhood
Hymns of faith that made us strong
Ones that mother Maybelle taught us
Hear the angels sing along
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the sky, lord, in the sky
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, lord, by and by
There's a better home a-waiting
In the sky, lord, in the sky

After a quick check in the book, Jacob did not serve in the war...there were two of them. Jacob Trautman, and Jacob Troutman. They were cousins, so I am related to both of them, but one was serving age and the other...well...not so much. The family history book I have sometimes mixes the two up because a Trautman married a Trautman. Yeah. Even our own family can't keep track of who was who, lol!

Goodnight guys. I'll see y'all in the morning.

Oh, one thing: I've been thinking of creating a YouTube channel just so I could post a few vids I made onto the forums. So now, my YouTube channel is Rusty. That's it. Rusty. It's better than MonKeYFaRT1987.
