Dan and john last summer.....what a team. Gotta talk to john now if you want a 1715 lease.

As kids , "pinkies" ruled the stained water crappie/specs jigs.
Pink heads ,white tails.

Spring warming waters have produced quit a variety (specs, bass, pike) in windblown warmer reedy water.

An old timer at a popular city fishing spot on the river once said you could travel the world with just a white jig and catch fish...He may have been right!

But , lures also catch fisher folks.
I never did buy a mermaid lure , but most every tackle box had to have one at one time around the 1940's and after....

Yes, pink is a great color. Our water is lightly stained most of the time. The Alabama jig is very popular in the lake I favor. All black, very small with a #8 hook. I'm making those also but putting a little silver flash extending about 1/2" out of the tail. I make mine 1/32 oz. Head and use them with a bobber stop and cork.

folks,

I had a big time crush on the gal back in the day....definitely without question one of the most talented artists of that era male or female.

That model in glass is cool Rook.

Hey All, race at Road America Elkheart Lake today. Just Porche, not open wheel, but it's on some NBC channel this very minute. Just in case you want a glimpse of what IMO is the best paved road course in the United Sates.
