The other half is snakes and alligators. I guess I never really thought of Florida with woods, just palm trees swaying in the gentle breeze.

EVERYTHING lives in our woods.

We have got to have more wildlife and insects than any other state OR place on earth.

Some wildlife is fine, but with all those non-native creatures being dumped in your swamps is bad. I would be scared :censored: to leave the comfort of my hotel room with a view.
 

yeah you gotta get deep to start hitting bears and panthers.

BUT... you could walk in your back yard and stumble across a Burmese python or a diamond back rattlesnake... both of which could be measured in yards... not feet. heh
 

And speaking of Wildlife...

I have to join them. :)

I will never get the image of that Python blowing up while eating that alligator. Never ever .

Florida has 30,000 Lakes, the Atlantic Ocean, The Gulf of Mexico, Lake Okeechobee, 246 canals and 1,350 miles of coastline.

* I started a Treasure Net Group "FLORIDA" Anything that has to do with the treasured history of Florida.
