Growing up I used cane poles exclusively we even made our own,oh ya..booger lines,fishing line wrapped around your finger and a hook on the other end more than once I got a heck of a rope burn from a whooper stripping it off my finger too.

Ever use one of these? As a kid in Florida circa 1957 I was being pulled behind a bike well the driver decided to take a sharp turn I kept going straight,I ended up looking like a mummy wrapped up in pieces of ripped up sheet.
