Folks,

That sauce looks pretty hot....I recall years ago I bought a sauce called "after death sauce" I think I was too chicken to use it.... I ended up tossing it years ago.

I will restore this one with a new upper end. Usually all you get is the brass and not the glass. This one was barely showing in the sand at an old home here. I left it in the ground from a couple months ago. Was just waiting to take the boat before I picked it up.

He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor too,I recall when I was young 5 or 6 and He took my brother and I on the Jax Naval Air Base and showed us what He did as an AOC Chief.. bombs,machine guns,and bullets all laid out neatly in the hanger. I had a nice place to grow up too...FLORIDA!

Depending on size and other possibilities of context... It could have been a blacksmith's cut off hammer.
Not uncommon for a forge owner to make their own tools. Leaving some less refined as long as they work...
