What's up with that ??? He mentions girl friend and once or twice I caught the "wife" word mentioned :dontknow:

KKC-karl-custom-corvettes-c6-to-c2-conversion-00.webp Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny, Ia. owns a company called Karl's Kustom Corvettes. I happen to be filling up my Corvette at a local gas station when a Corvette pulled in. As he was facing me, it was unmistakably wider than normal. He went by me and waved as he pulled up to the front door. It had that famous "Split window". The rear end was not only wide, but had super wide tires all around it. The body said 1963 Corvette, but the width did not match. As the guy got out, you could tell the interior was not a 63 either. This car was done in the Riverside Red and had a black interior. The guy and I exchanged a few words, as he had an appointment that he had to be at. He told me a little about the car and that where he works does this conversion. They take a C6 or C7 Corvette chassis and place them under a replica 63 Split window body. It was something to see.
