I put the "main" post in the coins section http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,269115.0.html as it's an unusual coin to me.
Images are there for those interested in looking.
I got a dime at work tonight that looked a little off.
1965, nothing special since it was pretty scuffed up. But it
looked a bit off to me. Took me a few moments to realize why
as I was helping a customer at the time.
Turns out the middle is smaller than the heads and tails sides.
Might not be worth anything, but it's an interesting curio to me
anyway. Shows character and describes how I've been feeling
lately. Scuffed on the outside and hollow on the inside :)

I responded in the Coins forum, I think that it is just corrosion. I have a few coins like it somewhere. They do look neat though, I kept mine :)
