Is this a cannon ball? I believe the weight is 9lbs. It appears to have a plug and a fuse hole. Otherwise I can toss it in the fire pit out back and see what happens...

Have you posted this before under a different user name if I remember right just about everybody on here told you it was'nt, a cannon ball. It looks like the same item to me.

Welcome to TNET! You do not give any reference as to where or how you aquired it, but my guess is that it is a nine lb. shot-put. They are used in junior high track.

I am a report agent and I found it in a car. The R.O. never retrieved there belongings and this seemed neat. I actually thought it was a shot put... I guess I can chuck it in the fire pit and hope your right. Thanks
