Question about this Flower tombac button

I'm fairly certain it's tombac and has a nice flower design on the front. I'm not fully familiar with tombac buttons, but the shank looks to be attached differently than others I've seen. I've usually seen a small "mound" surrounding the shank, but this one doesn't have it. Would this still potentially date to the late 1700s? It measures 1 3/16" wide.

You may be referring to cone shanks where the loop is attached. This shank looks cast all in one piece, not attached.

I cannot help you to identify this flower tombac button but I have to say that it is a precious and beautiful piece! And I agree that 1700 might be the correct age range!

These pics make me very nostalgic. It remember me of a drawing of a kid I got once... I send flowers to uk to this little girl and she gave me the drawing as a gift. This was so nice and heartwarming!
