I have heard the word patina plenty and it's not something that I've fully been able to understand. I recently found a point that makes me him I understand and I'd like some feedback if I'm wrong.

The point on the right is what I recently found. The knapping marks on it look more worn and older than the knapping marks from the point on the left. These points were found In a field in north Georgia.

Is this accurate?

thanks.

Wash them with water and a toothbrush it won’t hurt them. If you use harsh detergent like tide or vinegar then you might hurt them.
