prospecting or mining ?

ive been doing this for over 10 years.and iam still just prospecting. i have yet to find a place that i cant wait to get back to. are you guys mining or prospecting? great weather near randsburg yesterday,ever little gold.

I'm in the prospecting boat myself.
I've been great at rockhounding! Yet I just left the area where I had access to gold claims.
Cheers to some incoming discoveries.

For myself , I'm in the rocking chair mode and not able to get out and do much anymore for at least 8 years now BUT we all NEVER stop being a prospector and keep looking for "that spot " and then when we do find "that spot " we mine the heck out of it while still looking for another "that spot" ! I sure wish I could be out there mining "that spot "!

Well I think we are all in the arm chair mode when on the internet as apposed to digging up material to mine out in the field.

I have seen someone in a wheel chair at a good spot before with a helper.

I found "the spot" and had a hole dug 6' deep and just enough room to work with a shovel. I was finding lots of flour gold and pickers on every trip out. The last time I was there I saw no less then 6 men in the hole that is now big enough to park a car in.
I go to the gold field for solitude and to enjoy nature , not to jump in a hole with 6 other dudes. this is on property owned by a club, so they have a right to be there too ,but it sucks they didn't have to put in the time it took to find "the spot"
