Actually, the fact that he seems to do nothing , but make a call to another higher up, suggest to me, he could be replaced by a telephone!

And am I the only one who looks at these televised congressional hearing as highly orchestrated photo / sound bite ops for our wonderful politicians. Everyone has their allotted time to drop a zinger or two that can be picked up by the popular press. Lets the mindless Americans feel like they are doing something. Just like when they haul out those evil "fat cat bankers" and doping ball players. But then again most Americans think wrestling is real !!

No idea. Early on a lot of folks thought watergate or Iran contra didnt go to the top and it did. Will it lead all the way to Obama - it's certainly possible. I don't put anything by any politician.

What really bugs me is that IRS employees are being used for this crap when they should be chasing down the tens of billions of unpaid taxes from tax cheats. Meanwhile I keep sending my checks in every quarter.

At least the issue seems to be getting good play in the news. I heard NPR the other night with "experts" that both agreed this was disgusting and likely illegal. It was refreshing to hear them call the spade the spade.

Yup and then our wonderful politicians can put off doing anything about debt, deficits, the economy, unemployment, social security, entitlements, Medicare, etc, etc, etc for another year or two. But who cares its not like those are important issues or anything. And god know they are not as entertaining!
