Pottery - Vase - Help ID

I'm new to the forum - and to collecting glass and pottery - and am hoping someone can help me ID the maker of this vase.

I found this vase in a local flea market today. I wasn't horribly impressed until I turned it over and found very specific markings. Does anyone recognize them? I can't find anything on line (yet), and would bet it is less than 30 years old. Any thoughts?

if that 6 digit number is a production run....prolly very modern,chinese and common.I'm going to see if I can find makers mark

Hmmm

Thanks and any help you can give with the mark is appreciated. If it turns out to be very common, at least it has been a very educational - and at $7.50, affordable! - hunt. I've learned a ton just trying to find the mark. So do a lot of mass-produced pieces have a series number impressed or stamped like that?
