Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
I'm about ready to post my 2014 artifacts. I noticed that some of you really super compress your relics to maybe only the best, as I did with my coins.
For coins that makes sense, because an IH is an IH (unless you have a special one).
But then some others post quite a bit more of their collections which I kind of like because we get to see more kinds of things, maybe some of which we have found but didn't know what it is, so we learn more.
I understand not to post the relatively toasted stuff, even though we/I keep it, and the junk is junk in my metal garbage can out back, not talking about that.
I don't want to flood a post with stuff most would just find boring, but don't want to leave out the stuff others may have an interest in.
Any Balance?
I'm probably opening a can of worms here, so let me simplify this for my simple mind:
1.Super Compressed ?
2.Little piles of types ?
3.Mildly detailed individuals ?
Being new- Please let me know what's best here -
Thanks all
Chris

Everybody has their own preference. I say share whatever you want and however you choose to share it. Your never going to please everyone so as long as your happy with your post I say that's good enough for me.

I put my buttons in a pile of buttons, and gave a couple close ups of some nice buttons, like one with a nice design, put shoe buckles in there own pile with close ups on certain buttons, put each type of find in which I had multiple examples of in a pile and took a photo, then put all colonial and interesting finds that did not fit other categories in one pile, plus all coins in a group photo (including toasted coins) and did close ups of nicer coins in that photo. I was not able to put all my garbage-ish finds in one photo, except for shotgun shells, but I think it is a great idea.
I would say around 10 photos is a good amount.

Close-ups of the gold, silver, pre-Lincoln cent coppers or tokens and the rest can be large groups. No videos, please. Especially handheld.

Post in Daily Finds unless it is something you want help identifying. And invariably odd relics need close-ups from several angles to get much info on uness it happens to be something easily recognizable.

Good hunting.

Thanks everyone, I think I know where I'm going, but there are no video's anyway, so no problem there.. hope to post tomorrow.

I post photos of display cases. There's just too much to do close ups of every old coin or good relic we dug during the year.
