One of my favorites is my war of 1812 Massachusetts militia artillery button I found near a cellar hole

I realize this is a decade or so late on response, but that is a csa marines button. Pretty darn rare…..and expensive.

Not sure where found, but they don’t turn up in a lot of geographical areas.
