Actually, its just one knife in the pic...
My son is an EXPERT in Photoshop and he cut out and combined several shots of the same knife.

The blue bolster material is called mosaic damascus. Chris Marks down in Louisiana makes it. It is several types of steel forge welded into a pattern. The different kinds of steel turn different colors when subjected to the bluing process...like bluing a gun barrel. I use molten salt to do this.
I buy the raw barstock and shape it to the particular knife I design. The handle is real mother of pearl and the blade is stainless damascus, which I also buy as barstock ( a foot long piece, 1 1/4" x 1/8" x 12") from Devin Thomas. That gets etched with ferric chloride to bring out the layers). The liners are a titanium alloy which I annodize to get the golden color (you can color that stuff almost any color in the rainbow, and the process is similar to what many on the forum use for electrolysis coin /relic cleaning). I shape, grind and heat treat the blade and make all other parts so eventually, it looks like a knife!

I saw a mailbox that was flamed out many years ago & I have wanted to do this ever since. I bought a box on Ebay a month ago, taped it & drew the flames, cut em out & was about to paint it when my dear girlfriend walked in, took one look & said "Forget it!!! You aint putting that in front of our house! The neighbors will think we are redneck, nascar watchin' freaks!" (no offense to all you redneck, nascar watchin freaks intended)
So......I gave it to my redneck buddy, we are in the process of making the pole, all pollished stainless steel & will install soon. The painted pic has a lil overspray that ive since buffed out & I put about 10 coats of high gloss clearcoat on it, I'll post pics after its installed at my buddies shack.

Darn, After looking at all you talented people, I've developed an inferiority complex! I dabble in nothing! Can't do Sh#%! Don't have a creative bone in my body, but I'm glad there are so many in the Net that do! Keep em' coming!
