Post a picture of your collection&favorite bottle!

Hey everyone :), here's some of my collection. All of them were dug with the exception of 1 which is the brown bottle that says "JNO Wyeth & Bro. Philadelphia Liq. Ext. Malt" which i got at the local dump. I have 3 favorite bottles, my L.P Case Druggist bottle, Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce bottle, and my Duffy Malt Whiskey Company bottle. Thanks for looking, Sarah.

Here are some of the bottles my wife and I have found in the course of metal detecting. Sorry-I can't figure out how to rotate my first pic

Joshr29, Do you have any pictures you could share with us?

Sure thing. Give me until this evening and ill try to get them posted. I just started taking them down one at a time so I should get some up in a while. Here's a broad view of them for now. My display in my living room. I don't hate on machine made bottles as long as they are embossed or a cool color so a bunch of mine aren't that old but I love em all anyway. And I apologize in advance for my low pixel photos. All I have to work with is an old school 3GS I-Phone.

I appreciate the interest that everyone has in their bottles, no matter how old. Thanks for showing them and I'm waiting to see more.

Harry, you collect some really old bottles. Don't think any one would be able to easily find those. How much would one of those large case bottles be worth?

relicmeister, You've got quite a beautiful setup. Thanks for showing us

I've been at it for about two years now and I wish I could just throw together a shelf like that! Those look like some nice finds. I used to live in a house out in the country where we had quite a bit of land. There was an old house still standing on it that was built probably around 1870 and it was abandoned before the turn of the century. I remember seeing tons of bottles there and not being old enough to give a crap. Every time I think about that I want to kick myself! Most likely almost very one of them would have been a keeper.

Thanks. I was blessed with a HUGE dump that has stuff from the 1850s to the 1940s located in a river. That's where I started, where most of my finds are from, and where I'll stay for a while. I'm just starting to realize the bottle opportunities I passed up before I got into it. Makes me kick myself! Nice collections everyone.

Since this is such a metal centric site, I thought you guys might like this one:

I suspect this did not work well. I found it near the bottom of a huge ash pit behind an old mansion, about 25 feet down. It was full of ink, still, though it had gone powdery.

Thats a really nice ink surf. When i first saw it, i must say i thought it was a actually door handle. Never seen one like that.

That's funny. The second I saw it I had the same thought. It's way cooler being an ink though.

Here is a pic of some of my Paterson stoneware, there are another 100 or so pieces not shown in this pic. I am in the act of getting it all to my home now....

That is an amazing collection you have going E! Is this the collection that you told us about buying a couple of months ago? At least I think it was you. I'm sorry if I'm mistaken. Anyway, I hope you can show us the other 100+ pretty soon.

P.S. I'm glad to see there is at least one other night owl around here.

Really awesome group there E! Are these from that big collection that you told us about buying a while back? At least I think that was you. I apologize if I am mistaken but I figure that you have to got to be one of the very people with that many stoneware pieces.

P.S. I'm glad I finally ran into another night owl! I just wish I had that many new finds to post.

Out of anyone, I've seen epackage have the highest quantity of really nice bottles. Also the fact that they are all Paterson bottles makes it amazing. But I've got to say that I have never seen anything like Surf's automatic ink container/doorknob. Did not know that multi-use item existed, but you learn something new everyday. Thanks guys.

Yes Josh that's the collection I was in discussion about buying, happy to have it. Once I get it all here and displayed I'll post pics, when work is slow I don't sleep much....lol

Thanks Oradden, I have some nice stuff for a local collection, but I'm sure Surf has some great stuff and Harry is a LEGEND in the bottle world. It would be tough to find an equal to the collection he has amassed over the years, and his knowledge takes a backseat to no one...

Three more pics, two showing some of the other stoneware to the right of the pic above that I'm in the midst of moving and the group of bottles I picked up at last years Shupps Grove bottle show. A digger from South Jersey had heard I collected Paterson bottles and he had 26 hutches he had in a box in his basement, since he doesn't collect stuff from up this way he let me have them cheap. In fact I don't think I spent more than $100-120 for everything you see here. The doubles were traded for stuff I need and there were about 15 that I kept for my collection, sadly I know this years haul won't be nearly as good, but I'm still looking forward to the show...

So here is the thread idea that you just gave me that would be EPIC! You, Harry, and Surf take turns posting find after find until all three of you are out. Sorry that I had to call y'all out like this but I'm pretty sure I'll be getting some backing on this one. We could limit it to say three each per day. I'm guessing that the rest of us would have some nice eye candy for a solid two months or maybe even more. So now all I'm gonna ask is WHO'S WITH ME?!?!?!?!?!

I've been waiting for someone else to voice that idea! Lol! Now that i got a patsy in josh i'm all in! Guys, if you really don't feel like going through with this we completely understand. We don't want to put you guys on the spotlight if you're not comfortable with it
