Possible silver dime in the coinstar today

I spotted a lone dime today in a coinstar...it stood out visually...I thought at first it was originally a mint coin...I can usually tell between older silver dimes 1964 and earlier to the non silver dimes but this one is a 2002 S mint... the band doesn't have the typical coloring that newer dimes have... wondering if it's silver...

Agreed, on a closer look I noticed it was well used...

I don’t see any copper in the side view. I’d say the front definitely shows “proof”. Both the s mint mark, the mirrored/frosted cameo appearance.

I was wondering how it ended up in circulation... hopefully it was rejected at minting and not nicked...

Not sure about the mint releasing “cull” clad proofs, but certain they wouldn’t release any cull silver.

I got a quarter from the coin star a few months back and it too did not have the clad band around it.
