Poison Ivy? this will help

A long time ago, I learned that jewelweed is a great remedy for poison ivy, especially if you are out in the woods and have no access to drug-store products. Here's a link about it:

When I get it, I try several things in combination, so I do not know really how well each works. Here is what I use: Hot shower and then wipe rubbing alcohol on your skin, go swimming (either pool or ocean - bleach or salt will dry it up), and the salt water paste. Also, a dilute solution of bleach if the blisters break open is another great way to dry it up.

Well, I never had poison ivy. If you ever get it, you are much more susceptible to it the next time. You can dig up a poke weed and there is a sort of tuber on the root. Soak this in water and rub the water on the rash. Poke weed is a diuretic, which means it draws the water out of your body, same as salt. You can't get poison ivy from someone else who has it, but you can contract it from anything that poison ivy has touched. So if you have been out in the field and walked through it, you need to wash your clothes separately, as it will contaminate other folks clothes.

Get a pair of latex gloves like the Doctors use. Put them on and then pour some Listerine into them. Sit and watch TV or something like that for an hour or two but be sure to keep your hands down so the Listerine will not spill out. Do this for two days in a row and the third day it will be gone.
Swimming in the ocean will also make it go away in a day.
