Could be, a hardness test would help but the fractures look right. A check of the density or specific gravity would also be good. Do you know where it was collected?

I do not know where it was collected. We are just starting, I now know to give more info since so many minerals could look just like each other. I will get back to you on hardness and SG. Thank you

Greg , an excellent book to help with id's is LaTune's Rockpecker. Also John Sinkankas has some really good ones
