Digging an old artifact site and coming up with a lot of old silver and platinum pieces. I figured I would post them all together and see if anybody had any ideas that could help connect the dots:

So you tried to burn them. Then they turned. I think I'm confused on this one.

They are flame resistant? A lot of curtains are. I don't know those kind. But some are sprayed or made to be fire resistant.

ASWAN CORP - Curtain,Carpet

It might say in here. I don't have the energy to look and see if the cloth might be fire resistant.lol I'm cooked tonight!

I'll delete this in a few. Just realized I'm way way off topic in a thread again.
Your post is the only one ON topic. Thats it ASWAN CORP

Ah the Phillippines that explains everything. You go to the center to buy some curtains. They happen to be full of Platinum. But you didnt notice the extra weight because you thought they were very heavy curtains. When you arrived home and unfolded the curtains, to your surprise, the Platinum fell on the floor like a rock. I hate when that happens. Now you google the word Platinum and you find this thread and you try to have a conversation with Backwoodsbob using a translator. Interesting.

Since theyare selling Platinum bars in the Phillippines on almost every corner, Im going to guess that the vendor stashed them into the fire resistant curtains, and forgot about them. Mystery solved. But why did you try to burn your curtains?

Philippines
The lower partnof the curtain was fold into 3 and from there i found rhe rock metal i still dont know the weight of this metal but 1 metal i know is kind of platinum because i brought it to the jewel shop and they told me that it is a platinum

I think they are zinc curtain weights. You need to acid test them. Crispin maybe can tell you how to do that. I dont know much about Platinum. I only know silver. If they were silver, we could make a deal.

I guess Bob left the conversation. I cant help you move your Platinum. Edmar, sorry.

crispin the round items that you and GIB found must be coins since they are silver. They werent in a fire. The saltwater and waves does that. They cant be US dimes since they are larger. Now that I see the pics and know more about it, I think its a possibility they could be Reales. I also think the Shipwreck forum could better help you if you post over there. Why not ask the experts?

The turtle matches with a modern charm but it looks more like a splatter to me. Since it tested red, its silver. However it looks like a splatter to me which is even more interesting than a modern charm. Melted silver on a SW Florida beach/lagoon is very curious find.

Did you read my post about the crucifix? It turned out to be a lead/pewter/silver alloy.

I have no idea about the Platinum pieces. Keep searching the area. At least your finding silver. Dont forget to be the first person on that beach after a hurricane, That will be the best time. The first low tide after the storm is best.

Thanks for helping out on the other forum with the "tie"/carry over theory. Take care. Sorry I was not able to help you.

I want to clarrify that the curtain not only red or brown and gold you can see but there is also crystalic that shines..blue,green and grey when you take a closer look..
About the 6 metal is unexplainable for me it will also look krystals when i threw it to the floor for several times.the normal collor of this metal is grey but sometimes black grey
But when i start to threw it again the physical appearance will become crystalic again.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1439716786.828678.jpg

I transferred this over to a thread in Spanish Cobs that BigCypress started for me. I got a third one open and tried to take better pics. They are not the best. Will have wife take hi-res if needed. Big thanks to BigCypressHunter for his help. Also Big thanks to GIB, BackwoodsBob, and Nitric. Thanks to everyone else was helping through this as well. We may never know, but I think we gave it a heck of a run...

Sorry, I fell asleep. I think your going to be ok with your find. The pattern of the curtains is why they look that way. I see no evil in them. As far as the metal, i would agree their curtain weighs. If you continue to feel that way about the curtains. Resale them for more than what you paid and you will have a win,win situation. Good luck.

Sorry I meant Spanish Cobs forum. I think its basically the same guys from the Shipwreck Forum. They are very experienced. No comments yet but give it time. Bit I thought you wanted them to ID the coins that are bigger than a dime.? Well this way maybe you get both IDed.

exactly. Right now the only thing I can prove is that I have silver. Other then that...null hypothesis.

I showed these pics to a friend of mine who is a commercial crab fisherman and he said the rope looks like a buoy line based on the knot and the weights, which are necessary to keep excess rope out of ships propellers.

He has no idea about the coin looking things.
Maybe someone ditched some treasure in a box attached to buoy intending to come back for it?

I have no idea, interesting finds though.

Did you read my post on the silver crucifix I found ? (i asked this 3x)

Yes. I did read your post. Thank you. It was very helpful. I am pretty much coming to the conclusion that these things are not going to be identified. Which makes my mind go down other routes as to why that might be. The only things I knew for sure is where they are being dug up and that they are silver. Every time I go out to dig this site I say, "Today is the day we find the piece that puts everything together." Lol, may take me another three years to get to that day but I'm not giving up. Now that I have the nitric acid I have been able to sort out the junk metals (non Ag, Au, or Pt) much faster. If I find anything new I'll try to link it to one of these posts so people who haven not been following all the threads and are interested in it can catch up.

I've often thought it would be fun to make something really strange and impossible to identify then leave it to be found years from now. Maybe i am not the only one who thought of this.
