Went out to a local school for a bit today. Got this wonderful, consistent 90 hit. They have been very few and far apart lately. :dontknow:

I was being very careful as I figured this had to be a good one. It wasn't deep at all In fact, as soon as I flipped the plug I saw it laying there.

Money + Clip = Moneyclip. Right?

The problem? Well, the clip is a relic. What it's holding are coins. I can't clean the relic without cleaning the coins. :icon_scratch:

I guess we'll just have to be satisfied without ever knowing what is inside. ;) :dontknow:

Anyway, here's the rest:

Even had my ride show up.

Man thatd kill me to leave it like it is, I know you already opened it by this point so tell us what they are darnit! lol And i agree, w/ lawrence, you should bring your lizard w/you and put him in a pic of a fresh plug dig or something, thatd b pretty neat:icon_thumleft:

I totally agree with you cjon455.... Now post the results or I'm coming for the lizard...

I lost that several years ago while running from an extremely vicious LIZARD. It had 2 $20 gold pieces in it. Please return!

The clip looks like an everyday folder clip, not a relic. I'd get those coins out and see what they are!

Exactly! It's not like it's an 1800's clip holding it together. I'd open it up and see what the coins are.

Maybe a quarter and a dime, maybe this could be guess the dates of the two?

Cool clip find and the lizard really is a cute little guy. :)

Sometimes! :( I am just going to have to buy a cage for Blingie. I was perfectly satisfied to leave my wonderful find as is and just put it in my display case. A wonderful conversation starter, dontcha think?

But, nooooooo. I guess he was afraid there might be a piece of bling in there that he could try on. :) Anyway, he's completely ruined the patina, the piece, etc. :( At least we know what they were now. :dontknow:

UNCLIPPED.jpg

Pretty messed up but not too bad considering they're from around the turn of the century. ;)

Oh, and about having him pose in any freshly dug plug? That might be possible but it won't be until the next millennium. He'll be on restriction that long! ;)

Thanks for all the help and pressure folks. ;)

Whew no gold coin sandwich this time ! Better luck next time WHADIFIND =D

Quit *****footing around and open it! :BangHead:

I would have never done that! Now you ruined it!

Yeah, I was only joking! I would have never opened that clip! You completely devalued those coins! They were a perfect example of turn of the century relics and coins! I suppose next you are going to wash them and scrub them with a brush!!!? :)

Well, Blingie did have a brillo pad at the ready when I caught him. ;)

Oh well, :dontknow:

Better luck next time !! :headbang:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

Oh SURE! Easy for you to say! :( I get my coins and relic destroyed at the same time and even if I did it myself I know I would be wrong either way.

If I cleaned it, I ruin the coins, if I don't I'm that no good son of a digger that never follows up on his posts! Never lets anyone know what they were!

Yeah, easy for you! I'm wrong no matter what but you can just say, too bad, better luck next time and just move on. (LOL ;) )

LoL, I said "better luck next time" because I know you'll dig plenty more after this..... Can't please the people on here, so just try again !!

Keep @ it and HH !!

What happened to my 2 $20 Gold pieces? Lock up that lizard!

He's already in for the next millennium but, come to think of it, he was wearing some bling I hadn't seen before. Hmmmmm...
