for about 3 months I've been waiting for a reply on getting permission to hunt Zions Red Church in Deer Lake Pa,just now I got a reply that states permission denied!!! WOW I didnt think that it would be that hard to get a place to hunt but I guess Im wrong!:BangHead:

huh? Why would you need a "state's" permission, to hunt a privately owned church? Wouldn't it be the church to grant that permission? What does the state have to do with that?

........I believe its..."States",as in "said"

yes you are right Kugar. but its like im not gonna be there with a backhoe and destroy the place. they have a pile of land with a grove and everthing. i just dont know what they would have against hunting the place?????

Well, ...... it's the "easy" answer. I mean, put yourself in their shoes: why should they be bothered?

And what makes you think it hasn't already been detected? Any member that goes there, can probably just help himself. I mean, I think of the church I attend, for instance, and .... there's nothing to stop me from going on the grounds mid-week, etc... Even if some church staff did see me (although no ones usually out roaming the exterior grounds), they'd probably recognize me, shrug their shoulders, and walk away.

So how about this: (although it's probably too late, since you've asked) since the church is obviously not far from you, can't you make friends with a regular attender (or perhaps you might even know someone who attends there), and just go with them? But as I say, it's probably too late now, since you asked.

thats what they told me about the meeting and it was a no go. but as far as members doing it according to the pastor there she said they never had no one ask that question before. but anyway its no biggie cuz thats not the only spot on earth to hunt!!! good luck this year guys and dont forget this newbee if you strike it rich!!!!

The problems with Churches, The preacher is just a Hired entertainer.
They do not officially have say, But you need to find the churches where the preacher
thinks he or she owns the place & is Friendly.
I believe female preachers are the worse for handing out permission.
even to their own constituants .

once you go into a meeting, those who are Nosey enough to attend, or
feel they own the place, all have an opinion, & it only takes one or two
well liked church members with greed to Poison the meeting.

This is Why I refuse to attend public meetings.
