There's a risk. When one chooses a place that is old and hunted. Not as much clad traffic. But, I would trade a day's clad for one good old coin.

I have many days where if I find a wheat penny I'm tickled to death. I might hunt for 4 hours and come away with a little clad and a wheat penny and be "okay" with the day. If you had a great day every time you went out (Vino can tell you about that) it could eventually get boring. Well, maybe not boring...hell you know what I mean.
