Why didn't you swing your detector while you were running. When I am running from a dog I always swing my detector in case I find something. When I do find something I let the dog dig it. Dogs are very smart. When he saw the detector all he wanted to do was run over and dig your targets for you. Keep that in mind when you see another dog. Congrats on the wilver.
