OLD WRENCH????

I must say, my daughter is a good luck charm! Lol. We went back out to a different civil war battle area and came across this. Not really sure what it is, but I think that it's a tool for some kind of military equipment. Approximately 30 yards away, we also found a mini ball with the spur STILL on it!!!! Maybe we came across an old camp site or post?? Can anyone identify this? It looks like an old pipe wrench to me, I hoping for something a lot cooler than that though! Lol. Thank you!

I know I have seen something like that before. Almost like a flat head valve tool. I just can't place it.
