I found this in the front yard of an 1860s house. It kind of looks like a toy train but it looks like the wheels weren't supposed to turn and it looks kind of funny. Any info would be great.

taz - That is an amazing pic! Look how well it matches the detail on the relic. That is a 4-2-2 steam engine, used from around mid 1800s to 1900.
The 4-2-2 refers to the 4 front wheels on 2 axles, 2 drive wheels on 1 axle and 2 rear wheels on 1 axle

Thanks Taz, I found Old Chief Iron Horse, I used to play in and around this old Engine when it was where it is in this photo, just behind the Sioux City Auditorium in Iowa. Here is a good steam engine site ,You can find surviving engines by state.
There's a 4-14-2 on display in Pomona Ca.

I still not 100% convinced that the train that the OP found is an engine.
Could it be a tender, or some type of flat car?
It reminds me of an American Flyer piece that I saw somewhere, but cannot place what it was.
I still think this is an early HO piece, possibly a rare Lionel OO scale, or even an S gauge. It would be nice to know the width between the trucks so we can narrow this down.
