Thanks poorfarm, the 8 inch X 4 inch drill hole had a sholder 1/2 way down indicating 2- 1/2 cordell, the small drill holes indicate direction of travel

Woops,I'm sure that someone had this figured out already but The 8 inch wide X 4 inch deep drill hole is 2 cordell = 380 feet plus the shoulder 1/2 way down = 1 cordell + 2 cordell = 3 cordell or 570 feet, sorry about that, flat bottom drill hole indicates top and bottom are the same and they are different than the cone shape ones, as are the angled ones with a long tapered side kinda like a transminion funnel, even if there is one small ( 1/4 inch ) it means the same as the larger if its on an angle, it will be on another rock with another mark, find the other one, it should be 90 feet ( viking long boat length, there are different boat lengths other than 90 feet ) and look at it as if you are driving tent stakes and securing the top of a tent, just another triangle with ropes. Good grief I hope this makes sense

Good stuff Ernie! I have one angled hole yet to be worked...just trying to get the time, funds and everybody healthy enough to get back out there! Once I do, I'll post up some notes about it that may help others when they find a similar situation. Your pics and notes are always very helpful! Thanks!

Hi Randy, if there's a angle hole then somewhere in the area ( less than 1000 ? feet ) there should be a triangle that will give the directions and distance to go that you need to get information from to work the angle holes. Glad to hear everything is getting better

I would have to day that photo #2 reminds me of an Apex symbol; usually above the position of a concealed opening. "8 ball corner pocket............1 bank shot".

hello Twisted Fork, Have you found that there should be a " MAP " of a place of interest using corner markers of a triangle / square / triangle and a cache site using the total distance between the markers for distance, and the NW corner shows the direction and distance to the cache or the direction to the other part of the windrose, are the ones that you show have two different mines or is one a fake and the other the one of interest. Thanks, I follow all your post, dsty
