šŸ COMPLETED WANTED: Fisher F-pulse pointer (first model)

Iā€™m looking for a first model f-pulse (pre-1922) pointer in good operating condition. Please DM me with price. Thanks, Cheka
What do you mean by first model ???

as far as I know there is only one model of the F Pulse pin Pointer

i do have a Fisher F Pulse that has had very little use that I would consider selling

The first model was produced from 2018 to 2021. Sometime in 2022 an improved second model was introduced. Turn on your f-pulse with the pointer next to a piece of metal. If it locks up and must be restarted, it is a first model.

mine was purchased in 2022 so it is most likely the second version, is there a reason you like the first version over the newer version, Just curious

They improved the software with the second model to eliminate it locking up if you turn it on adjacent to a piece of metal. However, they also removed a little known advanced software feature that allowed you to turn on a TURBO MODE (settings 7-9) and achieve even greater detection range.

I have the older version. I have no user manual for it. Can you elaborate on how the user would turn on the "turbo mode"? Can it be accomplished using the control button, i.e. pushing in some sequence?

Yesā€¦ it is settings 7-9. Step it through all the settings until you have both the buzzer and sound alertā€¦ When those are running together, it is in the turbo mode.

Thank you Cheka. I'll try it out later today. Much appreciated!

I have a Tek-Point which is the same pinpointed. It.is the first version before any software update.

Thanks for reaching outā€¦ please let me know the condition and priceā€¦. Keith

Ok, I dont have a manual but believe I have managed to activate the "turbo mode". The pointer activates at power up with led steady ON, vibration and alarm activate up to 12 inches from a target. Does this sound right?

Will add that mine is a like new unit but I have never used it as I prefer the Garret carrot. The F-Pulse is my back-up. I might consider selling it.

Congratulations! 12ā€ inch depth is exceptionalā€¦ and exactly what what TURBO was intended to achieve!

The target was a medium sized metal waste basket. Tested on coins It does seem to get about 3.5" on a US quarter. Thanks again for the tip Cheka!

I would say like new condition maybe some wear on it. Iā€™d like $100 plus shipping

Thanksā€¦ but for the moment Iā€™ll hold off. I already purchased a couple earlier this morning. Keith

The very first F-Pulse was a killer in depth. I bought it as soon as it hit the market. Returned it because it went wonky. The replacement never matched that performance. It was moderated down.
It sure beats the Carrot though.

You are 100% correct. There was a trade off between depth and ā€œwonkinessā€.

I had an early model. It seemed like a really good pinpointer. I only traded it because I go 100% off vibration and not sound and it seemed a little too fine in the vibration compared to the TRX which Iā€™m used to. I wouldnā€™t turn one down if I found a used one. It is my favorite right behind the Whites.
