I see the top pic does have the beading in it.
judging from the tool marks. the zigzag marks are from a smoothing plane, but the 5 beads were done by hand with a beading plane.
most likely wooden bead plane, it doesn't date the box except for making it older than 100 years I would guess.
those planes were used for centuries,
the use of all wood fastening does suggest dynamite, metal equals sparks.
the use of wooden pins was most common in the 18th to early 19th century
