You're going along, maybe getting tired and you
get one of those annoying "can" hits! You KNOW
what it is, and yet, you also know that a large plate,
or bucket of gold would sound similar.

You debate in your head. Then, you justify it in
some way and you dig up those! You barely overcome
the feeling to just bury them back or fling them into a spot
you just KNOW you'll never hunt! (Nobody's looking...right!? :dontknow: )

But.....then....you decide to look just a lil closer. ;) LOL

Hey! They don't monogram beer cans! Do they? :dontknow: LOL

Went back to my latest field of dreams today.

The thing Fishy chose is a mangled, silver
candle holder. The ovalish thing beneath him
used to be a pin/brooch of some sort. I think I
can almost see a face on it. :)

The bling towering over Blingie is, I believe, the hand
held mirror for the same set my "brush" came from last time.

It's hard to make out due to the unfortunate folding
right on the monogram, but, I do believe the initials are the same
and it is silver as well!

I think the last two times there have given me more silver than I've ever
found before! Just....not in coins. ;)

Thanks for peeking folks!

Countless times. But I always dig it those signals. Most are aluminum cans and steel beer tips, but one turned out to be a militia Plate a while back. Looks like you made the right choice too;)

Great finds and guilty of probably everything you mentioned. I rarely leave any targets in the hole unless it's just ridiculously huge. I've tossed a few cans into the river or that spot you mentioned I would NEVER hunt. Yeah, right.:BangHead: Great finds and nice post.

Wow, I know Coors calls itself the "silver bullet," but I didn't know they made their cans out of silver! Hahah. Do you know what kind of container it actually was?

Here's a good beer can detecting story to add. I was digging in an area that was a CW camp in Maryland, and I dug a beer can at 6 inches in the soft soil next to a creek. Just a couple of feet away, I got an identical "beer can" signal. I thought twice before digging the second signal. It turned out to be a Union officer's Sword belt plate. :headbang:
