oil painting with twisted nose

I have this painting hanging around now for some years and my curiosity is getting the better of me. I am curious as to the style and the artist. It is very dirty and the girl has a halo but its hard to see. I guess the most outstanding feature is the way the nose is painted, it is a little off. Any help would be nice.
