Thursday July 14th - As of last night it is still pretty quiet on Oak Island. Rick Lagina came back to the Island yesterday so the work should pick back up now. Rick had been here full time since May but was back in the States last week.

July 20th - It is official today, lot 5 on Oak Island was sold to the group. I heard there was a lot of trees being cut over the weekend so figured the lot had changed hands. I expect Gary will be working it very shortly. Just the usual traffic crossing the Oak Island causeway during the day. Three vintage vehicles towing trailers made the trip.

Brad, it's been a normal week with the traffic crossing the causeway to Oak Island. The daily work crews and then the visitors driving across and turning around as the Island (& Visitor Center) is still closed to tourist. They have been driving sections of pipe in the money pit area this week. Could be more core sampling or a few other possibilities related to the mining company work. A crew has been working on cleaning up lot 5 since it was purchased and late this afternoon a new piece of equipment went across the causeway. It looks like a tub chipper so they might be clearing more than lot 5. (To the Hoax Island guys) There is no plan to grind the old wood coming out of the ground in the money pit area.
