I found this in my yard and I think it's a Fountain Creek, though I'm no expert. Could someone confirm or deny this identification? I have dozens more and they are almost all quartzite. Does anyone have any tips for identification of artifacts made from quartzite? Or how to take a decent photo of them?
Could be some type of quartzite Sequoyah I’m not sure what state your in but it might make sense.

Sweet little point though congrats

I kinda thought it looked like a Fountain Creek by the base and serrated edges

These are just estimates of the locations they have been informed as finding in the states. In my location I have to check NW Georgia, TN, Ala. and SC so it can be a tough job trying to get a good I.D. On my finds. Wasn’t any states back then and they did travel

That's true. The only limits were how far they were willing to travel.
